Coder Life is a free browser game by Xaplore. You can play all of it without an account. It has no ads and no third-party analytics.

If you don't sign in

Your lives, progress and settings stay in your own browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data deletes them.

Anonymous counts

The game sends a small anonymous count to our own service on Cloudflare. It contains only the game's name, an event and the date (UTC), and for a play, where the game was opened from as one broad label (our itch.io page, xaplore.dev, a search engine, a social or video site, or anywhere else). Events are:

play: once per page load, when you first tap or press a key.
share: when you share, save or copy a result. Never the text or image.
outbound: when you click a link to another Xaplore site.
return bucket: at most once per day, one of four labels saying how long ago you first played: first day, the next day, 2 to 6 days, or 7 days or more. Your browser works this out from the dates in your local save. Only the label is sent.

None of these counts carries a user ID, cookie, device ID or fingerprint, and we keep only daily totals, so no per-player record exists. Your IP address is used for a moment in memory to limit abuse and is not stored.

If you sign in with Google

Signing in is optional and only used for a cloud save. Google's sign-in script loads only when you open the account panel while signed out, and sign-in is not offered inside the itch.io embed. Our server stores:

a one-way hash of your Google account ID, not the ID itself;
when the account was created and last used;
a hash of your session token, kept for up to 60 days in an HttpOnly cookie (cl_s) so you stay signed in;
your cloud save (your game state) with its revision number and update time;
short-lived counters to limit abuse, keyed by a hash of your IP address or account, cleared within about a day.

Your email, name and profile picture are not stored on our server. Your first name is returned once at sign-in and stays only in your browser. Your browser also keeps a small sync record and up to three set-aside copies of a save you chose not to keep, so that a conflict never loses progress; you can discard them in the account panel.

Who processes data

Cloudflare (server and database), Vercel (hosting, and forwarding requests to Cloudflare) and Google (sign-in). We don't sell data or use it for advertising.

Keeping and deleting

Accounts unused for two years are deleted with their saves. You can delete your account and cloud save at any time from the account panel (Delete my cloud data) or by emailing support@xaplore.dev. The copy in your browser stays until you clear it.

Children

The game is about work and immigration, and it is not directed at children under 13. Please don't sign in if you are under 13.

不登录时

你的人生记录、进度和设置都只保存在你自己浏览器的本地存储里。清除浏览器数据就会删除它们。

匿名计数

游戏会向我们在 Cloudflare 上的自有服务发送少量匿名计数，内容只有游戏名、事件和日期（UTC）。开始游玩时还会带上一个粗略来源标签：我们的 itch.io 页面、xaplore.dev、搜索引擎、社交或视频网站，或其他。事件包括：

游玩:每次打开页面后，第一次点击或按键时发送一次。
分享:你分享、保存或复制结果时发送。不含文字和图片内容。
外链:你点击前往其他 Xaplore 网站的链接时发送。
回访分段:每天最多一次，只有四个标签之一，表示你第一次玩是多久以前：当天、第二天、2 到 6 天、7 天及以上。这由浏览器根据本地存档里的日期算出，只发送标签本身。

这些计数都不带用户 ID、Cookie、设备 ID 或指纹，我们只保留每日总数，不存在针对单个玩家的记录。你的 IP 地址只在内存中短暂用于防滥用，不会保存。

使用 Google 登录时

登录是可选的，只用于云存档。只有在未登录状态下打开账户面板时才会加载 Google 登录脚本,itch.io 内嵌页面不提供登录。我们的服务器保存：

你的 Google 账户 ID 的单向哈希，不保存 ID 本身；
账户创建时间和最后使用时间；
会话令牌的哈希，通过 HttpOnly Cookie（cl_s）保持登录，最长 60 天；
你的云存档（游戏状态）及其版本号和更新时间；
用于防滥用的短期计数，以 IP 地址或账户的哈希为键，约一天内清除。

服务器不保存你的邮箱、姓名和头像。登录时返回一次的名字只留在你的浏览器里。浏览器还会保存一份小的同步记录，以及最多三份你没有选用的存档副本，确保存档冲突时不丢进度；你可以在账户面板里丢弃它们。

数据处理方

Cloudflare（服务器和数据库）、Vercel（托管并转发请求到 Cloudflare）、Google(登录)。我们不出售数据，也不用于广告。

保留和删除

两年未使用的账户会连同存档一起删除。你可以随时在账户面板点“删除我的云端数据”,或发邮件到 support@xaplore.dev,删除账户和云存档。浏览器里的副本会保留到你自己清除。

儿童

本游戏的主题是工作和移民，不面向 13 岁以下儿童。如果你未满 13 岁，请不要登录。
